Why this matters

Everyone agrees culture matters. Almost no one feels equipped to build it.

Most managers know culture is critical, yet very few feel confident shaping it on purpose. This platform closes that gap, and gives you everything you need to build the culture you want, by design.

3%

of managers feel completely confident to build great culture.

85%

say creating healthy team culture is crucial to their role.

80%

report culture has a major impact on engagement and retention.

From original research with over 1,000 frontline managers, in the bestselling book Let's Talk Culture by Shane Hatton.

What's inside

A whole platform, not just a workbook.

Everything you need to prepare, run and measure, in one place.

PrepareEverything to get ready before the day.
Interactive conversation guide
Interactive conversation guide

Run the day without being the expert

Play the video, read the prompts, tick things off. The guide leads; you guide the conversation.

A click-through guide walks you through every section: play the video, share the prompts, tick things off as you go. A trained chat, grounded in Shane's book and the sessions, answers any question that comes up in the room and can suggest an alternative activity to suit your group.

Agenda planner
Agenda planner

Tell it your timing, get a run sheet

Say how long you have and get a tailored agenda that recalculates as you adjust.

Say how long you have and the planner builds a tailored agenda, with a one-line purpose for every session. Adjust any time and the whole day recalculates around it. Reorder, add your own items, and download the finished run sheet as a Word doc, or a styled PDF.

Comms planner
Comms planner

Bring your team along, before and after

Pre-written emails, chat messages and talking points for every touchpoint, mapped across the timeline.

Start with what people should Know, Feel and Do, then map every touchpoint across the timeline with pre-written emails, chat messages and talking points you can use as-is. It's weekend-aware, so nothing awkward lands on a Saturday.

RunYour live cockpit for the day itself.
Run mode
Run mode

On the day, it's your cockpit

Per-section timers, a presenter and audience view, and live capture into your plan.

When it's showtime, Run mode gives you a focused view with per-section timers and an audience view you project to the room, while your presenter notes stay on your laptop. It follows your agenda, breaks and all, and live-captures the conversations straight into your action plan.

Live phone polling
Live phone polling

Bring the whole room in from their phones

Everyone joins with a code, no app. Answers and votes land live on the screen.

Ask a question or run a vote and everyone joins with a simple code, no app, no login. Watch answers and dot-votes land live on the big screen, then pull them straight into your plan. Perfect for surfacing expectations and prioritising the themes that matter most.

Culture action plan
Culture action plan

Leave with a plan you'll actually use

Themes, behaviours and actions in one living plan, shareable and downloadable.

Capture your themes, behaviours, shared language and priority actions in one living plan, built live as you talk on the day. You leave with the plan already done, not a pile of notes to write up later. View it as a beautiful summary to share with your team, and download it as a Word document to keep.

MeasureSee whether the behaviours you agreed are really landing.
Anonymous check-ins
Anonymous check-ins

Ask the team, honestly

A three-minute, anonymous check-in that turns the behaviours you agreed into a real pulse.

Send a short, anonymous check-in built on the exact behaviours your team agreed in the room. It takes three minutes, and you see the team's honest picture, never who said what.

The three gaps
The three gaps

See what you can't otherwise see

Aspiration, perception and spread, in plain language, at a glance.

See how far the team sits from the goal, the gap between how you read the culture and how the team does, and how much they agree. The perception gap in particular is a view many leaders rarely get.

Weekly nudges and what changed
Weekly nudges and what changed

One small move at a time

A weekly prompt to embed a behaviour, and an honest read on what's shifting.

Each week Measure suggests one small, concrete move to embed a behaviour, and each cycle it gives you a plain-language read on what has actually changed. Small steps, kept in front of you, so the culture keeps moving.

How a session runs

Watch. Pause. Talk. Move forward.

Every session in the video series follows the same simple rhythm. It's how the videos lead the day, and it takes the pressure off you as the leader.

1

Watch the video

A short video sets the context, poses an idea and asks the question.

2

Create space to talk

Your team does the real work, guided by ready-made prompts. Your job is to listen.

3

Capture what you agree

Record what you agreed together, then move to the next conversation.

You're never alone in the room.

A guide trained on Shane's work is one tap away, for the moment it goes quiet or you're not sure what to say next. It's a little of Shane, in the room with you.

The framework

Five conversations that build culture by design.

Each conversation builds on the last, moving your team from understanding culture to actively shaping it.

This framework comes from the bestselling book Let's Talk Culture, built on original research with over 1,000 frontline managers.

1

The expectation conversation

Surface the unspoken expectations in the team and choose 3 to 5 core cultural themes.

Your team walks away with 3 to 5 cultural themes your whole team has chosen together.

2

The clarification conversation

Turn those themes into clear, observable behaviours everyone can see and do.

Your team walks away with each theme turned into clear behaviours you can all see and do.

3

The communication conversation

Build a shared, everyday language so culture shows up in real conversations.

Your team walks away with a shared, everyday language for the culture you're building.

4

The confrontation conversation

Agree how you'll hold each other accountable, and make hard conversations easier.

Your team walks away with an agreed, kinder way to hold each other to account.

5

The celebration conversation

Decide how you'll recognise and reinforce the behaviours that matter.

Your team walks away with how you'll notice and reinforce the behaviours that matter.

The capability conversation

The conversation you run after the offsite. Turn the behaviours you agreed into a standard your team can actually reach, by naming the skills, tools and support they need to live them.

Your team walks away with a plan that makes the culture you agreed achievable, not just aspirational.

It doesn't stop at the offsite

The offsite is the easy part.

The offsite is where you agree the behaviours that matter. Living them week after week, when no one's watching, is where most teams quietly slip back to how things were. Measure keeps those behaviours in front of you, and gives you an honest read on whether your culture is really shifting.

The perception gap

The gap between how you see it, and how they do.

The perception gap is the distance between how you read your team's culture and how your team actually experiences it. A short, anonymous check-in on the behaviours you agreed shows you both, side by side, so you're working from what's true, not what you hope is true. It's a view many leaders rarely get.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need to be a trained facilitator?

No. The videos and step-by-step guide lead the day; you just create space for the conversations. There's a guide to answer questions in the moment, and you can swap any activity for one that suits your room.

How long does the offsite take?

A full day works best, but the agenda planner adapts to a half day, a couple of hours, or a series of shorter sessions, compressing the timings to fit the time you have.

How big can the team be?

Any size. The conversations work in small groups within a larger room, and you can bring everyone in from their phones for live input and voting.

Is it a subscription?

The offsite kit isn't. It's a one-off licence tied to you as the leader, and it never expires. Run the offsite with the team you lead, and run it again as your team grows or you step into new teams. The one ongoing part is Measure, which tracks whether the behaviours you agreed are really landing after the offsite. It's free for your first three months, and whether you keep it going after that is entirely up to you.

What happens after the offsite?

The offsite isn't the finish line. Every kit comes with three months of Measure, free: a short, anonymous check-in that turns the behaviours you agreed into a simple ongoing pulse, so you can see whether your culture is really shifting, not just hope it is. The clock only starts when your team's ready. After the free three months, it's $59 a month per team, or $590 a year, and you can cancel any time.

What if it's not right for us?

You've got 30 days. Explore the whole platform, watch the videos, build a plan, and if it isn't the right fit, email us and we'll refund you, no fuss.

Can I use it to run offsites for other companies as a consultant?

The standard licence is for running the offsite with your own team, not as a reseller or agency licence for unlimited separate organisations. If you'd like to use it across many client teams, get in touch about a partner or multi-team arrangement.

What do we walk away with?

A clear culture action plan: your themes, behaviours, shared language and priority actions, plus your agenda and comms plan, all downloadable as editable Word documents.

What if the venue wifi is unreliable?

You can download all the session videos ahead of time and play them offline, so the day never depends on the connection.

Do participants need an account?

No. When you poll the room, people join from their phones with a simple code, no login and no app to install.

Is there support?

Yes. You can message Shane directly inside the platform, and join a private community of other leaders running the same conversations.

For IT & decision-makers
Where is our data stored, and who can see it?

Your content lives in a managed Postgres database (Supabase) hosted in Australia, served through Vercel's global infrastructure. Some processing happens overseas, for example the AI features use a provider in the United States; the full sub-processor list is in our privacy policy. Every account's data is isolated with database row-level security, so one customer can never see another's plans, messages or responses.

Do you offer a Data Processing Agreement?

Yes. A DPA and our current sub-processor list are available on request for organisation customers. Email contact@shanemhatton.com and we'll send them over.

How is access controlled?

Members sign in with email and password or a one-time magic link. For organisations, people are invited to named seats, and access can be added or removed at any time.

What personal data do participants' phones collect?

None required. Phone polling is anonymous: no name, email or login. Only the text or vote a person submits is stored, and any poll and its responses can be deleted in one click.

Are payments secure?

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.

Can we pay by invoice or roll this out across the organisation?

Yes. Organisation licences are available with a set number of seats, provisioned for you, and can be paid by invoice. Get in touch and we'll set it up.

Is the video content protected?

Videos stream from a dedicated video CDN, and any downloads are gated to signed-in members through short-lived, expiring links.

Can we export or delete our data?

Your plans, agenda and comms export as Word documents at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and its data.
